[On My Radar] Upcoming April K-Drama Premieres
April is a little light on the K-Drama premieres front. Honestly, I’m okay with that because I’m so behind on my drama watching right now. There were an abundant amount of premieres in March that I haven’t been able to check out yet, so here’s to April being a catch up month!
1. “Mistress” / 미스트리스 – Premieres April 28th on OCN
With some big names leading this drama, “Mistress” follows the stories of four women that are in their 30s. They become involved in a series of murders which cause their lives to become entangled with each others’. The four main characters are Jan Se Yeon (Han Ga In), Kim Eun Soo (Shin Hyun Bin), Han Jung Won (Choi Hee Seo), and Do Hwa Young (Goo Jae Yee).
2. “The Miracle We Met” / 우리가 만난 기적 – Premieres April 2nd on KBS2
Song Hyun-Cheol A (Kim Myung Min) is an ordinary man who dies in a car crash, but somehow wakes up in another man’s body that happens to have the same name and age as him. “The Miracle We Met” is the story of Hyun Cheol A dealing with being the husband of two families and wives. Kim Hyun Joo and Ra Mi Ran also star as Sun Hye Jin and Jo Yeon Hwa, respectively.
3. “Suits” / 슈츠 – Premieres April 25th on KBS2
“Suits” is a remake of the U.S. television series with the same name. Jang Dong Gun plays well-known, captivating lawyer, Choi Kang Seok, at the top law firm in South Korea. Park Hyung Sik plays rookie lawyer Go Yeon Woo whom Kang Seok hired for his outstanding memory. Chae Jung An, Ko Sung Hee, and Hwang Tae Gwang are also set to star.
“Suits” will be my pick of the month solely due to Park Hyung Sik, but I probably won’t check it out until it ends. Will you be watching any of these premieres?
