[On My Radar] Upcoming March K-Drama Premieres

With the Olympics being over, there is a large amount of K-Drama premieres coming our way! So many are looking to be very promising. Keep reading for my picks for March K-Drama premieres:

1. Pretty Sister Who Buys Me Food / 밥 잘 사주는 예쁜 누나 – Premieres March 30th on JTBC

This drama stars Son Ye Jin as Yoon Jin Ah and Jung Hae In as Seo Joon Hee, the two main leads. Yoon Jin Ah is a laid-back 30-something single woman working as the supervisor for a coffee company and is best friends with Seo Kyung Sun (Jang So Yeon). Seo Joon Hee is the younger brother of Seo Kyung Sun who is returning to Korea from working abroad. Seo Joon Hee appears in front of Yoon Jin Ah more mature and different which sparks her interest.

2. Switch: Change The World / 스위치 – 세상을 바꿔라 – Premieres March 28th on SBS

“Switch” focuses around a swindler (Jang Geun Suk) who passes the bar exam yet does not become a prosecutor. Instead, he makes criminals pay that did not get punished by prosecutors. The drama also stars Han Ye Ri as prosecutor Oh Ha Ra and Jung Woong In as Geum Tae Woong.

3. Good Witch / 착한마녀전 – Premieres March 3rd on SBS

“Good Witch” stars Lee Da Hae as Cha Sun Hee and Cha Do Hee, twins whom are complete opposites personality wise. Cha Sun Hee is a housewife married to unemployed Bong Cheon Dae (Bae Soo Bin). Do Hee is a flight attendant that enters a situation where she has to get Cha Sun Hee to take her place as a flight attendant. Cha Sun Hee then meets pilot Song Woo Jin (Ryu Soo Young).

4. Grand Prince / 대군 – 사랑을 그리다 – Premieres March 3rd on CSTV

“Grand Prince” follows the story of two brothers, the eldest Lee Kang (Joo Sang Wook) and younger brother Lee Whi (Yoon Si Yoon). They both love Sung Ja-Hyun, the daughter of a highly regarded family. Lee Kang wants the throne and Ja-Hyun, and will do anything to get them including killing his brother.

5. My Husband Oh Jak Doo / 데릴남편 오작두 – Premieres March 3rd on MBC

UEE stars as Han Seung Joo whom is a single woman in her 30s facing social prejudices due to her being unmarried. She works at a broadcasting station as a PD. She then decides to marry a man from the mountains named Oh Jak Doo (Kim Kang Woo). “My Husband Oh Jak Doo” follows their relationship that started out as a social stunt turning to loving each other.

6. That Man Oh Soo / 그남자 오수 – Premieres March 5th on OCN

Oh Soo (Lee Jong Hyun) is a cafe owner and barista that plays Cupid between young men and women using a magical pollen. Things take a turn when the pollen works on him and causes him to fall in love with Seo Yoo Ri (Kim So Eun). Kang Tae Oh of 5urpise also stars as Kim Jin Woo.

7. Marry Me Now? / Shall We Live Together / 같이 살래요 – Premieres March 17th on KBS2

Park Yoo Ha (Han Ji Hye) works hard throughout her life to become a doctor due to her father’s sacrifices, but things change when her father marries a very wealthy woman. Park Yoo Ha works with Jung Eun Tae (Lee Sang Woo) who is a doctor that recently returned to Korea from volunteering abroad. Eun Tae thinks he is just like his father and should place priority on his medical work rather than marriage.

8. Great Seducer / 위대한 유혹자 – Premieres March 12th on MBC

Woo Do Hwan stars as Kwon Shi Hyun who bets his life on a game to seduce Eun Tae Hee (Joy from Red Velvet).  Do Hwan is known for targeting 20 year olds and looks down upon those who are swayed by love. Once Eun Tae Hee meets Kwon Shi Hyun, her view on love changes.

9. Let’s Hold Hands and Watch The Sunset / 손 꼭 잡고, 지는 석양을 바라보자 – Premieres March 21st on MBC

Nam Hyun Joo (Han Hye Jin) and Kim Do Young (Yoon Sang Hyun) are married and have been together since college. Do Young is difficult to work with due to his refusal to compromise. Nam Hyun Joo asks for a divorce and Do Young’s first love Shin Da Hye (Yu In Young) reappears in his life.

10. My Mister / 나의 아저씨 – Premieres March 21st on tvN

A woman in her 20s named Lee Ji An (IU) and a man in his 40s named Park Dong Hoon (Lee Sun Kyun) become friends who help each other through hard times they encounter in their lives.

Personally, my top pick goes to “Grand Prince” with my other favorites going to “Switch”, “Good Witch”, and “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food”.

    Soooo many new dramas this month! And I’m looking forward to quite a few of them. A lot of my fav actors have been gracing the screen lately with more to come. Looking forward to all the goodness!

      I know right?! So many actors that haven’t been in a drama for awhile are all making a comeback at the same time, and I’m loving it!
