[DRAMA CASTING] Nam Ji Hyun and D.O. To Lead New Drama?

Lead Roles Offered for New K-Drama “Hundred Day Husband”

It was announced this morning that there are two people in talks to lead the upcoming K-Drama titled “Hundred Day Husband”. Those two actors are none other than Nam Ji Hyun and EXO’s D.O. (Do Kyung Soo).

Nam Ji Hyun is most notably known for her roles in “Shopping King Louie” and “Suspicious Partner”. If she accepts the role, she will be portraying an intelligent woman by the name of Hong Shim. She operates a detective agency during the Joseon Era when she encounters a man, Lee Yool. EXO’s D.O. is in talks for the role of Lee Yool, the Joseon crown prince. Lee Yool has a terrible accident when he falls off a cliff and wakes up not remembering who he is. He disappears when he thinks he is simply a normal man, but returns to the palace one hundred days later.

“Hundred Day Husband” will tell the story of Lee Yool’s journey of trying to remember his identity with the help of Hong Shim. No Ji Sul will be the script writer for this K-Drama, who previously worked on “Scent of a Woman” and “My Lovely Girl”. “Hundred Day Husband” is looking to air on tvN later this year.

I have been patiently waiting for Nam Ji Hyun’s return to a drama, so I was super excited to see this news. When I started reading the drama plot description, my mind immediately went to “isn’t this basically “Shopping King Louie”?” Which I really enjoyed that drama, but I loved her in “Suspicious Partner” much more. However, when I realized “Hundred Day Husband” will be a historical comedy my interest piqued! Joseon Era along with D.O. and some romantic comedy? Sign me up! I haven’t seen any of D.O.’s previous acting, but I love EXO. So, I’m very hopeful that these two will accept the lead roles.
