Friday Favorites: Week 4 of All K-Pop and Drama Favorites
Another week, another Friday Favorites round-up of K-Pop and K-Drama releases and news
1. BTS’s Performance on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve
You could say I was kinda excited to see their performance on TV New Year’s Eve. Not only did they perform “DNA”, but also, my personal favorite, “Mic Drop”. And, they killed it, as per usual.
2. Junho in “Just Between Lovers”
I’ve already talked about this show once, but I just finished the most recent episode last night. “Just Between Lovers” is quickly becoming one of my favorite dramas. Everything about this drama is perfect. The leads’ chemistry, the writing and plot, set locations, soundtrack, etc. But, in my opinion, the best thing about this drama is Junho’s (2PM) acting and portrayal of Lee Gang-Doo. Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving Won Jin-A’s character and think she’s a great actress as well. But, I think Gang-Doo’s personality is a bit more difficult to portray in the way that it’s meant to be done. And, Junho has everything down to the way he speaks, body language, and actions. If you haven’t checked this show out yet, I highly recommend you do so….like now. 🙂
3. N.Flying’s New Release “Hot Potato” (뜨거운 감자)
N.Flying is a band I’ve recently started listening to because they bring something different to the K-Pop scene with each of them playing an instrument. Their MV’s are also really great to watch as they really show off their personality with a quirky and funny concept each time.
4. MAMAMOO’s Title Track and MV for “Paint Me” (칠해줘)
I really wish I could sing like any of the members of MAMAMOO. This is another group that never fails to stand out to me in K-Pop with their deep and powerful vocals. They released their new single, “Paint Me”, and the video is really simplistic yet beautiful.
5. Block B’s MV Teaser for “Don’t Leave” (떠나지마요)
I’m living for the aesthetic in this teaser for Block B’s upcoming single, “Don’t Leave”. And, of course, there’s Zico who is currently one of my favorite rappers.
