Friday Favorites: All things K-Pop and K-Dramas

I’ve decided that rather than doing K-pop album and song reviews, I will start doing a post called Friday Favorites. This will encompass all the music that I’m currently loving and would suggest you give a chance. There’s also a good chance that there will be some random K-Drama stuff mixed in as well!

1. Rain (비) –  “My Life” (EP Album)

How could one not have Rain on their list when he’s made his first music comeback in 3 years?? I’m really loving his new CD, especially his title track “Gang”. The man can still dance like when he first debuted.

2. Red Velvet (레드벨벳) – “Peek-A-Boo” / 피카부

I haven’t listened to their entire album just yet, but their title track is super catchy (no surprise there). And the dance is just as fun as their popular summer choreography to “Red Flavor”.

3. BTS (방탄소년단) – “Crystal Snow”

It should be no shock that BTS is on this list. “Crystal Snow” is a new song released with their Japanese version of “Mic Drop”. I must say this song has been on repeat, and I’m a little surprised by how much I loved it. It’s a little different than their latest stuff and definitely worth listening to. Listen to it on Spotify here!

4. Crush (크러쉬) – “I Fancy You” / 눈이 마주친 순간

This is an older song, but I just started really listening to Crush a month or so ago. And, this song has become a favorite. His vocal range is amazing and this song has a great beat to match.

5. Jay Park – “Joah”

I’ve been a fan of Jay Park for quite a long time, but just happened to stumble over this song the other day. Highly recommend!

6. BTS (방탄소년단)  – “Mic Drop” (Steve Aoki Remix)

Yes…BTS is on this list twice. Sorry, not sorry. 😀

7. Starship Planet (스타쉽 플래닛) – “Christmas Day” / 크리스마스 데이

I absolutely love Christmas music. And this song featuring Monsta X, K. Will, Soyou, Cosmic Girls, and others is just so cheery and cute.

8. Hyuna (현아) – “Lip and Hip”

Hyuna’s music is typically a hit or miss with me, and “Lip and Hip” is a really fun and catchy song. I’m not crazy about the music video, but it’s a good song to dance to for sure!

9. DAY6 – “Moonrise” Album

I had to include their entire album for this post. It was released this week and consists of 18 songs. These guys are so unbelievably talented, and I couldn’t pick just one song.

10. 구큰별 – “Sing My Song” (Revolutionary Love OST)

While I have mixed feelings about this drama (review coming soon), this song is perfect for the show and I absolutely love it.

11. Heechul X Shindong X Eunhyuk X Solar – SM Station “Charm of Life”

This made the list just because of the music video. How can you not love Heechul, Shindong, and Eunhyuk?? I died laughing the first time I saw this.
